Chapter 098: Resolution (Preview, On Sale Next Week)
If not for Chen Xujia coming to find them, given how the three of them had been utterly absorbed in the task, neglecting sleep and food to the point of forgetting both, they probably wouldn’t have reacted until the end of the workday.
When all their attention had been devoted to problem analysis earlier, they didn’t feel hungry at all. But now suddenly being interrupted and told to stop, Lin Liyou felt her stomach already growling loudly.
“That’s fine. Liyou, go get the data from Yuyao this afternoon. They’re probably resting now.”
While packing her things, Tang Xiao clearly arranged the afternoon tasks.
When the four of them were having lunch, it was exceptionally quiet, only Tang Xiao and Chen Xujia occasionally exchanging a couple of sentences. The meal ended quickly, and as they prepared to return to the office together, Cheng Li suddenly said:
“Um, I seem to have left something at my seat. I’ll go back to get it. You all head back first!”
After saying that, she rushed off in a hurry toward the direction of her former seat. The other three didn’t react much to this.
After resting with her eyes narrowed for a while on the workstation, Lin Liyou’s phone rang. It was the alarm she had set for herself.
She was just about to go upstairs to discuss data requirements with Cai Yuyao when Tang Xiao called out to her:
“Li you, the data is here—what are you going to do?”
“Um? What data?”
Cheng Li timely interjected:
“Uh, well… I had something fall earlier, and when I came upstairs later, I just happened to meet Yuyao and them. Thinking we could get the data early, we could find the problem sooner, solve it sooner… so I told them for you.”
“Li you, you won’t blame me for overstepping, right?”
“Pfft, it’s nothing! Now I can save a trip too.”
Lin Liyou smiled and didn’t mind, but Tang Xiao frowned slightly beside her.
The process went very smoothly. After getting the collection rate and comparing it with the previous data, it perfectly confirmed Lin Liyou’s guess from the morning. The reason why this test version was even less efficient than the public version was finally found.
Looking at the analysis report in her hand, Tang Xiao stretched lazily, then turned to the two newbies beside her:
“The debug task is basically over. You two have worked hard too. What do you two want for afternoon tea? You choose, I’ll treat!”
As she said this, Tang Xiao opened a food delivery app.
“Here, I’ll put my phone here. You two can order whatever you want. I’m taking this result to chat with Gu Yao first.”
With that, she picked up her laptop and left.
The conversation between Tang Xiao and Gu Yao wasn’t very smooth.
“So, you mean the product selection logic is actually fine, and the problem is in the timing?”
Gu Yao didn’t accept this explanation very readily.
“For this timing, we can’t verify it now. As you said, the B version indeed has high click rates and collection rates, but they don’t convert... and what we ultimately want is an increase in conversion rate.”
“This is indeed the situation we can analyze and predict based on data now. We also hope these collections can convert to sales. We now regard price as a strong influencing factor, and judging whether we’re correct will become clear after the evening launch with new data.”
“It can only be this way, I suppose?” Gu Yao pursed her lips helplessly, “Then let’s go find Da Ming together?”
Tang Xiao suddenly recalled the other two possibilities Lin Liyou had mentioned in the morning and involuntarily said:
“Um, before that, there’s something we might need to align our opinions on.”
