The moment she heard that she needed to make a template in Excel, Lin Luoyou immediately perked up. Compared to pondering rules and scoring criteria, she definitely preferred working with formulas. Perhaps this was the “aftereffect” of three years as a science student, followed by another three years studying finance.

However, according to Tang Xiao’s requirements, the spreadsheet needed to include quite a few dimensions and metrics. There were even subtle differences in the calculation methods between various categories.

“All right, take your time, but it’d be best if you could finish it by noon,” Tang Xiao said, satisfied as she watched Lin Luoyou methodically enter formulas into each cell, then turned to tend to other tasks.

But the deadline Lin Luoyou set for herself was much earlier than “noon.”

If she really put it off until midday, wouldn’t that mean she couldn’t go upstairs to consult with the colleagues in data analysis later? That simply wouldn’t do!

This was a rare opportunity that had fallen into her lap, and Lin Luoyou was determined not to let it slip away. With that thought, her fingers danced even faster across the keyboard.

At 10:37 in the morning, Tang Xiao finally received a reply from Cai Yuyao:

[Sorry, darling, I just saw this]
[We were in a meeting and just got out]
[I’m free for the rest of the morning—come on up when you’re ready, though let me run to the restroom first~]

Tang Xiao replied with an “ok” emoji, then glanced over at Lin Luoyou. Seeing her still busily entering formulas, Tang Xiao frowned slightly: Who knows how much she’s done? Forget it—maybe I’ll ask Cheng Li to come up with me instead.

As she pondered this and got up to look for Cheng Li, she suddenly felt a tug at the hem of her shirt on the right side.

“Xiao Xiao, I’m done here—should we go see the data team now?”

“So fast?!” Tang Xiao was surprised. Based on her own speed, with such a large workload, she’d need at least another hour to finish.

Of course.

Lin Luoyou arched an eyebrow, feeling a little smug—her master-level certification wasn’t just for show.

Seeing that Lin Luoyou had finished ahead of schedule, Tang Xiao was more than happy to take her along and introduce her to more collaborators.

“All right, come with me. And don’t forget to save your file.”

Once Lin Luoyou had gathered her notes, Tang Xiao strode off. The two of them took the elevator straight up to the data analysis department.

At the entrance, they found a short-haired girl with legs as long as Chen Xujia’s standing by the door.

“Xiao Xiao!” As soon as she spotted them, the girl practically flew over as if she and Tang Xiao were opposite ends of a magnet, latching right onto her.

“Hey, hey, hey!” Tang Xiao nearly stumbled from the impact.

Only when Cai Yuyao finally removed her arms from Tang Xiao did the latter roll her eyes and say in slight exasperation, “Can you try to act your age at work?”

After that, she turned to introduce Lin Luoyou:

“This is Cai Yuyao, the data analyst who usually coordinates with our department. Besides her, there’s Cheng Yu, and their team leader is Ding Tongyu. You’ll meet the other two in time. Also, she happens to be my cousin.”

Those last five words were spoken with clear reluctance. Though, in terms of height, Cai Yuyao clearly had the upper hand, her childishness and clinginess seemed to match her stature as well.

The two of them had been arguing about who was the elder, the “big sister,” since they were young. At some point, whenever introducing friends to each other, they’d always tack on, “I’m Xiao Xiao’s (or Cai Yuyao’s) sister,” at the end.

As they grew older, Tang Xiao chose to bow out of the game, but Cai Yuyao continued to relish it, even going so far as to insist that she be addressed as “big sister” whenever introductions were made.
