Chapter 093: Test Failed
Not only Wang Shi, but several other applicants, including Lin Luyou, soon received notices as well.
“Oh... then what are we supposed to do tonight?” Lin Luyou’s small face immediately fell.
“So yours were all rejected too?” Su Zhenxin glanced at her phone, then at the coworkers around her.
Perhaps Su Zhenxin had better luck and managed to snag the very last bed. After a moment’s thought, she said, “Yuyou, use my employee badge to go up and sleep tonight. I’ll just crash at Xinxiao’s place for one night.”
“Ah? Sister Zhenxin, that doesn’t seem right.” Lin Luyou was a little startled by her decision. She had already been prepared to spend some money and stay in a cheap inn.
“You’re just a little girl. If you can’t get back to school this late, where are you supposed to stay? If your family finds out you’re living alone outside, they’ll worry.”
Lin Luyou was given no chance to refuse, and the matter was settled just like that.
With the lodging problem solved, everyone returned to their desks and resumed work. But the moment Lin Luyou opened her computer, she heard someone shouting Tang Xiao’s name from afar.
“Tang Xiao! Isn’t there something wrong with the product pool you gave us these past few days?”
It was Gu Yao. She had just arrived and was already frowning as she spoke.
“Hm? What’s going on?” Hearing Gu Yao, not only Tang Xiao, but even Wang Shi and Chen Xujia nearby were startled.
Gu Yao glanced at the people gathering around her, then thought for a moment. “Let’s go to the conference room and talk.”
With that, she strode toward the conference room, and her little assistant followed close behind, computer in arms.
Chen Xujia was the team’s overall lead, and upon hearing this kind of feedback she immediately set down what she was doing, grabbed her notebook, and followed. Seeing Cheng Li and Lin Luyou still sitting there dazedly at their seats, she could not help but knit her brows.
“Come on. Don’t just stand there.”
Once everyone was inside the conference room, Gu Yao’s expression turned ugly at once. However, because Chen Xujia was present as well, she did not make the scene too awkward.
“Liu Sang, project the data.”
The little assistant who had come in with Gu Yao was named Liu Sang. Hearing the order, she quickly connected her computer with the data cable.
Looking at the figures projected onto the screen, Gu Yao tapped the table with the small notebook in her hand.
“Everyone can see it now. These figures were obtained through our A/B test. Group A used the standard product pool directly, while Group B used the special product pool you provided for elderly users.”
“But as you can all see, whether we look at traffic, conversion rate, or ARPU, the original mass-market product pool has the advantage.”
“If that’s the case, then I think there’s absolutely no need for us to keep developing some sort of elderly-targeted app. We should just integrate the regular version!”
Gu Yao had just come out of Liu Enming’s office, the general manager of the operations department. The moment she went in, her boss had already scolded her harshly, and even these figures in her hand had been taken from him.
The three bosses in the operations department each had their own distinctive temperaments.
The overall head, Liu Enming, was basically a firecracker waiting to go off. He not only spoke in a thunderous voice, but also showed no mercy when reprimanding employees.
The deputy general manager, Qin Yuan, was short-tempered. Anything she thought of that day had to be assigned that very day. And she especially loved setting tasks with deadlines, which was what gave the employees below the biggest headache.
Among the three, only Yang Nan was a little more “normal.” Although her professional ability was a bit weaker than the other two executives, she made up for it with a good attitude and never dumped bizarre, contradictory tasks on the staff.
