Chapter 129: Also at A University
Before Chen Xujia and Zhao Mian arrived at the Starlight Café after their meeting, the rest of the team was already seated.
Taking advantage of the fact that not everyone had arrived yet, they huddled around a round table and began to gossip.
"Hey, hey, did you guys know? That intern in our group, Zhao Mian—guess what his major is?"
As they chatted, He Suzhen suddenly leaned forward, lowering her voice with a mysterious expression.
Her dramatic flair immediately grabbed everyone's attention. They couldn't help but lean in, eyes fixed on her, waiting for the reveal.
"Word is, he studied finance before, but now... he’s switched his major to Advertising and Media."
"That’s quite a leap!" Lin Luyou couldn't help but exclaim.
"Wait, Youyou, you actually didn't know?"
Faced with He Suzhen’s inexplicable comment, Lin Luyou was momentarily stunned:
*Huh? What am I supposed to know? Today is the first time I’ve met Zhao Mian; how would I know any of this?*
"He’s from A University, too! You two never ran into each other on campus?"
Hearing He Suzhen say this, Lin Luyou was even more surprised. In her three years at A University, she had never recognized Zhao Mian.
"You really haven't seen him? You’re in the same department!" Tang Xiao also found it incredible, sighing repeatedly about what a small world it was.
Lin Luyou sat there, mentally scanning the faces of people she had seen at school, but after a few seconds, she gave up.
*Forget it, who cares!*
"But Zhenzhen, where do you hear all this gossip? You’re so well-informed!"
"Do you even have to ask? The pantry and the restroom—the two biggest gossip hubs in our company," Su Zhenxin chimed in before He Suzhen could even open her mouth. "And look who Zhenzhen is! She’s our team’s walking encyclopedia. If there’s anything you don’t know, asking her is always the right move!"
"Thanks, thanks, thanks for the support!" He Suzhen replied with a chuckle.

"Over here!"
This time, it was Tan Fang who saw the two walk in, and she hurriedly waved them over.
"You guys really never get tired of this place, do you?" Chen Xujia said, shaking his head as he pulled out a chair.
Tang Xiao laughed and urged them to sit, remarking that if they hadn't arrived soon, she wouldn't have been able to resist ordering and starting without them.
She felt a bit helpless about the group's choice of venue. "Let's try somewhere else next time. Besides this place, we haven't been to a single other spot near the office park!"
"I have no objection to that, but Xujia has to lead the way!"
"Exactly. We can't help it. We’re all people who go straight from home to work and don't go anywhere else. Unlike you, who know the local food scene so well. Even this place was your recommendation!"
Qin Shishen happened to be free and walked over with a menu in hand. Hearing them discuss other nearby restaurants, he smiled and offered a few suggestions:
"I happened to hear you looking for some nearby restaurants, and I can certainly offer some advice. There are very few full-service restaurants in Phase One; most places, like ours, focus on desserts and drinks with light meals on the side. If you're looking for real restaurants, you should try Phase Two..."
Qin Shishen spoke in his naturally intoxicating voice. He hadn't personally sampled all those restaurants; he owed all that information to the inquisitive Xiao Song and his brother Qin Shiguang, a glutton who was a waste of a professional chef.
As he spoke, his gaze drifted toward Lin Luyou. But not wanting his behavior to be too conspicuous, he made sure to "spread the love," meeting everyone’s eyes for a few seconds.
However, Lin Luyou was still preoccupied with the fact that Zhao Mian was also from A University, busy stealing glances at him. She had no idea that she had become the target of someone else's stolen glances.
