Chapter 096: Everybody Gathers to Pick Faults

As Lin Luyou pondered the problem, her brows knit together like a pair of wriggling caterpillars, and her fingers unconsciously wound a strand of hair around themselves as she played with it.

After thinking for a while, Lin Luyou deleted everything she had done earlier and selected the top fifty items from the two product pools under the women’s apparel category.

That way, wouldn’t I be able to see exactly where the traffic is going?

Lin Luyou felt a little smug, pleased with how quickly her little brain had turned and how fast it had come up with a solution.

Once she had found the products that were underperforming, the rest became much easier. Lin Luyou took out her phone at once and opened the detail pages for the items whose sales had not risen, comparing them bit by bit.

Could it be the layout? Or was the font in these images too small?

The moment Lin Luyou saw the detail page, countless possibilities flashed through her mind.

It was not just that. As she kept staring at the data, she also noticed something strange in the click-through and conversion rates.

Group B’s click-through rate was clearly much higher than Group A’s, and not just by chance either; its overall level was higher across the board. But why were these elderly shoppers only looking and not buying?

Since they were willing to look, that meant their product selection logic was not flawed. At the very least, it had stirred their desire to learn more. So then the next step was to think about what was causing them not to want these products.

Lin Luyou worked through the possibilities in her mind step by step.

Before she could even begin forming hypotheses and testing them, Cai Yuyao had already finished setting up the layered structure.

“I’ve finished the files and sent them to your email. The rest of the analysis is up to you,” she said.

With that, she began packing up her things. After all, she had only come to lend a hand out of both family duty and friendship, and she still had a mountain of tasks waiting for her upstairs. There was no way she could stay in the conference room with them all day.

Tang Xiao also knew that Cai Yuyao had already helped more than enough, and hurriedly said, “All right, we’ll handle the rest ourselves. Otherwise, by the end of this month, the three of us will really have paid our salaries straight into your pocket.”

To see something she had painstakingly completed being maliciously questioned, she felt a surge of grievance welling up from the bottom of her heart. Her nose stung, and her eyes turned a little red.

“Ah, I... I was only suggesting one possibility. Luyou, I really didn’t mean to say it was your fault.”

“Fine, fine, enough. Whether there’s a problem or not, won’t we know once we check?” Cai Yuyao was too lazy to listen to them argue, and simply pulled Tang Xiao’s computer over to inspect the template’s formulas.
