Chapter 152: The Undercover Strike

“Everyone, there is still one undercover agent who has not been discovered. You have failed!”
“What?” Everyone wore miserable expressions.
“However, you still have a chance! During the final name-tag elimination round, you will pair up and walk to the verification machine. There, you can check someone’s identity!”
“The undercover agent’s objective is to eliminate every one of you. Before you are eliminated, you must find the undercover agent and tear off his name tag. Only then will you win!”
“Yahoo!” Everyone grew excited again.
“Now, let us head to the next location!”
By then, darkness was beginning to fall.
Everyone climbed into their vehicles and drove toward the final venue.
Jiang Yun sat between Li Mengya and Wang Fengwan in his vehicle.
“Jiang Yun, are you really not the undercover agent? I’m becoming more and more suspicious that you are!”
Jiang Yun smiled. “I really am not!”
“Don’t smile. Look into my eyes and say it!” Wang Fengwan refused to let the matter go.
Jiang Yun met her gaze, but before three seconds had passed, he could not help laughing again.
“Ha ha ha!”
“Stop laughing. Look into my eyes and tell me you’re not the undercover agent!”
Jiang Yun suppressed his laughter and looked Wang Fengwan in the eye. Yet once again, he failed to hold it in and burst out laughing.
“Fengwan, I’ll bet you anything Jiang Yun is the undercover agent!” Li Mengya said.
“I really am not!”
“Then why are you laughing?” Li Mengya asked.
“I... I just find it funny, all right?”
“Laughing means you feel guilty. You’re using laughter to hide your nervousness!” Li Mengya declared.
Jiang Yun was speechless. Li Mengya was even sharper than Wang Fengwan; at least her brain was working properly.
Twenty minutes later, the vehicle stopped at the largest amusement park in Zhijiang!
Jiang Yun and Wang Fengwan got out.
A few men in black approached and prepared to blindfold them.
“Mengya, stay with the director and don’t wander off!”
“I know. Go on!”
“Okay!”
Jiang Yun put on the blindfold. The men in black drove him away in a sightseeing cart and took him to a secluded corner.
The announcement came over the loudspeaker: “The Brothers Team may open their eyes now! The Brothers Team may open their eyes now!”
Jiang Yun removed his blindfold. An NPC came over and handed him a small bottle.
“What is this?” Jiang Yun asked.
“A little green bottle. Spray it on someone’s name tag, and that person will be eliminated!”
“Oh!”
Jiang Yun quickly put the little green bottle away and stuffed it into his pocket.
He stood up, with the cameraman following behind him.
“Everyone, are you hungry? Let’s find somewhere to eat first!”
The cameraman tilted his camera, indicating that he was hungry.
“All right, let’s go eat!”
Jiang Yun spotted several small sightseeing trams parked by the roadside. He climbed into one and drove off at a leisurely pace.
As Jiang Yun concentrated on driving, Wang Fengwan appeared in his line of sight.

Jiang Yun drove up beside Wang Fengwan. “Hop on. Big brother will take you out to eat!”
“Look at you!” Wang Fengwan did not refuse and climbed aboard the sightseeing tram.
Jiang Yun drove Wang Fengwan to a wonton noodle shop and parked the tram.
The two of them entered the shop.
“Boss, what do you have?”
“We have wontons, dumplings, and noodles!”
“I’ll have a bowl of wontons!” Wang Fengwan said.
“I’ll have a bowl too!”
Jiang Yun and Wang Fengwan sat down.
Jiang Yun looked at the two cameramen following them. “You two sit down as well!”
Everyone found a place to sit.
“What will you have?”
Jiang Yun’s cameraman mischievously shook his camera, indicating that he wanted the same thing.
“Boss, bring us a few more bowls of wontons!” Jiang Yun called out.
The shopkeeper asked, “How many bowls?”
“However many people there are, bring one bowl for each of them!”
“Coming right up!”
Before long, the wontons were served.
“Everyone, eat as much as you like. It’s on me!” Jiang Yun said.
His cameraman tapped the camera in acknowledgment.
Jiang Yun and Wang Fengwan left the wonton shop.
Jiang Yun sighed. “At last, I’m full! I’ve been hungry all afternoon!”
“Fengwan, let’s split up here.”
“What? You don’t want to stay with me that badly?”
“No. I just want to see how Mengya is doing!” Jiang Yun explained.
“Go, then, go!” Wang Fengwan waved impatiently.
“All right!”
Jiang Yun drove away in the sightseeing tram.
Wang Fengwan chose a direction and started walking.
Suddenly, the announcement came over the loudspeaker.
“Wang Fengwan, out! Wang Fengwan, out!”
Wang Fengwan stood rooted to the spot, utterly bewildered. “I’m out? No, how did that happen? How was I eliminated?”
When the truth finally sank in, she burst into furious tears.
“Jiang Yun, you bastard!”
Several men in black suddenly appeared and escorted Wang Fengwan to the lounge.
At that moment, Zheng Kai, Yang Ying, and Li Mengya were in the lounge, watching the broadcast on an LCD television.
Wang Fengwan entered the lounge in an emotional frenzy.
Li Mengya hurried over and comforted her. “All right, all right. Don’t cry!”
Wang Fengwan threw her arms around Li Mengya and began sobbing loudly.
“Don’t cry. Once filming is over, we’ll deal with Jiang Yun together!”
Wang Fengwan sobbed and hiccupped at the same time. “I trusted him so much, and I even ate wontons with him! Boo-hoo-hoo...”
Meanwhile, Jiang Yun was tormented by conflicting feelings.

Jiang Yun sat beside a flower bed and sighed toward the camera.
“Ah, I eliminated someone, but I don’t feel happy at all. Looks like I really wasn’t cut out to be an undercover agent! I feel so guilty!”
His cameraman shook the camera, clearly indicating that Jiang Yun did not look guilty in the slightest.
Jiang Yun rolled his eyes and continued toward his next target.
“Brother Xin?”
“Jiang Yun?”
“Fengwan was just eliminated. Do you know what happened?” Deng Xin asked.
“I have no idea!” Jiang Yun lied without the slightest hesitation.
At that moment, the LCD television in the lounge was broadcasting Jiang Yun’s footage.
When Jiang Yun claimed not to know what had happened, Wang Fengwan ground her teeth in anger.
That Jiang Yun was truly detestable.
“Jiang Yun, want to go eat?” Deng Xin asked.
Jiang Yun shook his head. “No, I’m not going. I’ve already eaten!”
“With whom?”
“This...”
“By myself!” Jiang Yun continued to lie.
“Have another meal and keep me company!”
Jiang Yun’s eyes lit up. “Well... all right!”
And so, Jiang Yun and Deng Xin drove off in a sightseeing tram in search of food.
As luck would have it, they passed the wonton noodle shop from earlier.
“Jiang Yun, stop! I want wontons!”
Jiang Yun pretended not to hear him.
“Jiang Yun?”
“Brother Xin, let’s not eat wontons! They’re no good!” Jiang Yun accelerated and drove away.
The two of them found another noodle shop and went inside.
Jiang Yun froze.
How was the shopkeeper from the earlier restaurant here too?
“What would you two like?” the shopkeeper asked.
Jiang Yun was speechless and began considering whether he should leave.
“Boss, do you have wontons?” Deng Xin asked.
“We do!”
“Good. I’ll have a bowl of wontons!”
“Coming right up!”
“Celebrity Jiang, what will you have?” the shopkeeper asked.
“I’m not eating!” Jiang Yun shook his head.
Jiang Yun sat beside Deng Xin, enduring every second in agony. He was terrified that the shopkeeper might accidentally let something slip.
“Whew...” Deng Xin exhaled in relief and patted his stomach. “Ah, I’m finally full!”
Jiang Yun felt unbearably guilty. “Brother Xin, let’s go.”
“Not yet. Let’s rest here for a while!”
