Jiang Yun and Wang Fengwan stepped out of Xiajing Airport; it was already afternoon.

They approached a large G-class vehicle.

“Mr. Jiang Yun, Ms. Wang Fengwan, welcome!” greeted the driver.

Jiang Yun and Wang Fengwan nodded in acknowledgment and got into the vehicle.

The engine roared as the driver took them away from the airport. Upon arriving at the hotel, Jiang Yun and Wang Fengwan entered a conference suite.

Li Mengya was already waiting, and Zheng Fei as well.

“Hello!” Zheng Fei stood up to greet Jiang Yun and his companion.

Jiang Yun and Wang Fengwan nodded in response.

Everyone took their seats. Du Heng emerged, followed closely by Wei Meng, who discreetly winked at Jiang Yun.

Jiang Yun nodded, puzzled—wasn’t this Old Wei?

Du Heng sat at the head of the long table and took a sip of tea. “The role of Image Ambassador is highly valued by those above. It’s a position that represents our national image. Please keep this in mind.”

The four nodded.

Du Heng continued, “The current plan is to produce four promotional films based on your performances.”

“Ms. Li Mengya and Ms. Wang Fengwan, you will feature in the dance promotional film.”

“Mr. Jiang Yun and Zheng Fei, you will star in the music promotional film.”

“We must shoot these four films as quickly as possible, so please prepare yourselves today; filming begins tomorrow morning!”

The four nodded.

“All right, everyone may take a short rest; your rooms have been arranged.”

Li Mengya and the others went to their rooms to rest.

That evening, Jiang Yun headed to the restaurant for the buffet.

Coincidentally, Li Mengya and Wang Fengwan, carrying plates, were also selecting dishes.

Jiang Yun frowned. “Are they together?”

Li Mengya and Wang Fengwan found a spot and sat down.

Jiang Yun, holding a white round plate, began to choose his food.

“How fortuitous!” Zheng Fei appeared, facing Jiang Yun. Jiang Yun smiled politely, “Indeed, quite the coincidence.”

“Shall we eat together?” Zheng Fei suggested.

Jiang Yun nodded.

The two found a table and started eating.

After a while, Li Mengya and Wang Fengwan walked over with their plates.

“We’re heading out first,” Wang Fengwan announced.

Jiang Yun nodded, and Zheng Fei also nodded, “Rest early!”

“Mm.”

After Li Mengya and Wang Fengwan left, Jiang Yun said, “Let’s go as well.”

“Alright.”

Jiang Yun and Zheng Fei got up and departed.

The next morning, the four rose early and gathered in the conference suite.

Du Heng did not come, but Yang Wuxia arrived.

“We’re heading to a mysterious place next!” Yang Wuxia teased.

Her gesture was surprising, as Yang Wuxia was normally quite stern, but now she joked.

The four followed Yang Wuxia out of the hotel and climbed into the large G-class vehicle.

The engine roared and the driver took them out of the city.

They soon reached the outskirts, where a winding asphalt road led into the mountains.

The driver brought them to a checkpoint, where a soldier saluted.

Yang Wuxia produced identification; the barrier lifted, and they passed through.

Soon, a broad green iron gate appeared. The soldiers at the checkpoint slowly opened it.

Jiang Yun sighed in awe, “We’ve reached the military district!”

The driver parked, and the four got out.

From this vantage point, the vast valley was dotted with planes, tanks, off-road vehicles, and missile carriers.

Du Heng, dressed in green, approached.

“Li Mengya, you need to rehearse your dance with our team. We’ll begin by filming Zheng Fei’s song and Wang Fengwan’s solo dance, and finish with Jiang Yun’s ‘Heart of China’.”

The four nodded.

A jeep pulled up and signaled Li Mengya to board.

She left in the jeep.

Another jeep arrived for Wang Fengwan.

The last one took Jiang Yun and Zheng Fei to the training zone.

The jeep, powerful, sped down the dirt road, raising clouds of dust.

When it stopped, the filming crew and director were already waiting.

Jiang Yun and Zheng Fei got out.

“Director Wang, the talents have arrived!” Du Heng shook hands with a man dressed as a director. This was Wang Lei.

Wang Lei said, “Let’s begin with ‘Camel Bells’. In a moment, walk slowly from that side. The final shot will have you singing with the soldiers in the camp.”

Zheng Fei nodded.

“Alright, everyone ready!”

“Action!”

Zheng Fei slowly emerged from behind a tank.

“Farewell, comrade, as you embark on your journey,

Silent tears in your eyes,

The sound of camel bells ringing nearby.”

Soldiers, bare-chested, were already waiting, embracing each other.

Zheng Fei, in green, hugged each of them.

His eyes glistened with tears.

“The road stretches, shrouded in mist,

The revolutionary life often brings partings,

Same farewell, different emotions.”

Zheng Fei walked slowly among the planes and tanks, singing with feeling, tears shimmering in his eyes as he finished “Camel Bells”.

“Cut!”

“Excellent! That’s a wrap!”

Zheng Fei breathed a sigh of relief.

“Now I’ll capture some daily life scenes of the soldiers, and this promo will be complete,” Wang Lei announced, leading the crew to film soldiers eating and sleeping. The essence of “Camel Bells” was to portray brotherhood forged from years of living together.

Wang Lei then filmed Wang Fengwan’s solo dance.

Wang Fengwan, dressed in ancient men’s costume, wielded a sword, resembling a wandering knight.

She stood on stage, sword pointed straight ahead.

With swift movements, she slashed from side to side.

Her sword struck repeatedly, and she leaped and danced across the stage, graceful and agile. Her movements alternated between strength and softness.

The dance was much like her audition piece, though music would be added in post-production.

Last was Li Mengya’s “Flying Goddess”.

Her dance had been re-choreographed, appearing more solemn, majestic, resplendent, and infused with Eastern spirit.

With the beat of the drums, Li Mengya danced elegantly.

Colorful ribbons twined between her arms, her attire dazzling. Yet it was her demeanor that captivated—a visage of solemn compassion, like a merciful goddess grieving for humanity.

“Okay! That’s a wrap! Now, let’s film Jiang Yun’s promotional piece. We’re heading somewhere special.”

They waited for Wang Fengwan and Li Mengya to remove their makeup.

About twenty minutes later, the two arrived together.

The large G-class vehicle’s engine rumbled.

Yang Wuxia, Jiang Yun, and the others boarded, and the driver set off.

Director Wang Lei and the crew followed in two jeeps.

Jiang Yun asked, puzzled, “Ms. Yang, where are we going?”

“The Great Wall.”

The G-class sped down the highway, and about forty minutes later, they arrived at the developed section of the Great Wall.

“Out of the car!”

Everyone carried their filming equipment and climbed the wall.

Jiang Yun wore a gray suit.

“Jiang Yun.”

“What is it, Director Wang?” Jiang Yun asked.

“In a moment, walk from there to here, singing as you go.”

“Alright, I understand.”

“Okay, everyone ready!”

“Action!”
