Chapter 139: That’s a Wrap, Part Two
“Is the security team ready?”
“Ready!”
“Good, all departments, prepare!” Liu Guoqiang raised his right hand.
“Action!” Liu Guoqiang swung his right arm fiercely.
Behind Jiang Yun and Wei He stood twenty extras each, their forces facing off.
Liu Guoqiang watched the camera monitor: “Here, the post-production needs to add two armies! A grand scene—make it spectacular!”
“Understood, Director Liu!”
In the scene, Jiang Yun and Wei He began exchanging moves.
“Boom!”
Jiang Yun kicked the large ruler, sending it flying. He caught it mid-air: “Ancient Everfire Ruler!”
Wei He brandished a curved blade, swinging it behind him: “Emperor’s Ghost Blood Blade! Ritual Knife!”
Jiang Yun wielded the large ruler like a broad sword, gripping it with both hands, raising it high, and striking down heavily.
“Ding!”
Wei He blocked with his curved blade.
Jiang Yun spun the ruler, sweeping it horizontally.
Wei He slashed continuously with his curved blade.
“Ding ding ding!”
The ruler and blade clashed repeatedly.
Liu Guoqiang looked at the screen: “Add sound effects of sword clashes in post-production here!”
“Got it, Director Liu!”
On set, wires tightened behind Jiang Yun, suspending him in mid-air.
“Azure Lotus Earthfire, return to position!”
“...”
“Falling Heart Flame, return to position!”
“...”
“Pure Lotus Demon Fire, return to position!”
“Void Devouring Flame, return to position!”
“Suppress!”
“Ah!” Wei He let out a piercing scream. “I will definitely come back!”
“Cut!” Liu Guoqiang was ecstatic.
“Okay! Pass!”
Jiang Yun and Wei He both breathed a sigh of relief.
Staff hurried to lower the two.
Liu Guoqiang took the megaphone: “I hereby announce that at precisely 9:00 on December 2nd, the filming of ‘Battle Horse Sky’ is officially completed!”
“Woohoo! Finally wrapped!”
“Yeah! Filming’s done!”
“Tonight is the celebration banquet!” Liu Guoqiang held the megaphone: “You all pack up first, I’ll book the hotel!”
“Great!”
“Awesome!”
The crew worked overtime, packing the set—boxing props, loading vehicles.
Jiang Yun went to the makeup room to remove his makeup.
He sat at the vanity, wiping off his makeup.
“Knock knock knock!”
Jiang Yun turned his head to see Wang Fengwan leaning against the doorframe, knocking with one hand.
Jiang Yun looked back at the vanity mirror. “What’s up?”
“We wrapped today.”
“I know,” Jiang Yun replied.
“When we finish, we’ll part ways. Who knows when we’ll meet again, or if we’ll ever film together?” Wang Fengwan said.
“Ha!” Jiang Yun scoffed.
Wang Fengwan frowned. “What’s so funny?”
“You’re too sentimental,” Jiang Yun said. “If you want to meet, one call is enough!”
“Sigh.” Wang Fengwan sighed and said nothing more, turning to leave.
Jiang Yun furrowed his brow, quietly watching her go.
By the time all the crew had packed up, it was already 10 p.m.
“Jiang Yun, you and Fengwan take my car!” Liu Guoqiang said.
“Okay!” Jiang Yun nodded.
They exited the set; rows of luxury cars lined the street. Since the crew wrapped, everyone notable was attending the celebration banquet—even Ye Xiaohe, the stunt double, came.
Jiang Yun and Wang Fengwan got into Liu Guoqiang’s car. His assistant started the engine, and they left.
The assistant drove to a high-end hotel.
Because the banquet was booked last minute, the hotel staff were working overtime to prepare.
Liu Guoqiang got out, Jiang Yun and Wang Fengwan followed.
Wang Fengwan linked arms with Jiang Yun; Liu Guoqiang walked ahead.
The three walked along the red carpet.
“Welcome to Moonlight Restaurant!”
Two rows of greeters bowed in unison.
Jiang Yun smiled slightly and entered the hotel with Wang Fengwan.
They arrived at the banquet hall. Wow, Liu Guoqiang had booked fifty tables—such a grand affair even Jiang Yun was overwhelmed.
Liu Guoqiang took the lead and sat down. Jiang Yun and Wang Fengwan, the lead actors, along with the screenwriter, assistant director, and logistics supervisors sat at one table.
Once seated, the waiters began serving dishes.
“Today we wrap the filming; let me toast to everyone first!” Liu Guoqiang stood up.
Jiang Yun raised his glass as well.
Wang Fengwan, wearing a red evening dress, sat beside Jiang Yun and also stood.
Hundreds of people at fifty tables all rose.
“Everyone, cheers!”
“Cheers!”
The hundreds drank in one gulp.
“Please be seated, enjoy the food and drinks!”
“Woohoo! Yay!”
The crowd sat down, chatting and drinking.
They laughed and talked until 1 a.m., then dispersed.
Back at the crew hotel, Jiang Yun freshened up and lay down on the bed.
“System! Open personal panel!”
“Beep!”

“System, check animation production skill!”

Jiang Yun smiled. This animation skill, like his special effects and game development skills, didn’t require hands-on effort.
He felt satisfied.
Now that “Battle Horse Sky” was wrapped, he could rest properly; the schedule wouldn’t be so hectic.
He planned to rest for half a month before starting his own movie project.
Jiang Yun got up, drank a cup of warm milk, then lay down and fell fast asleep.
Early the next morning, Jiang Yun woke up refreshed after stretching.
He left the crew hotel to get breakfast.
By chance, he met Wang Fengwan, who was placing a suitcase into the trunk of a black car.
Just as she was about to lift the suitcase, a large hand appeared in her view.
“I’ll help!”
Wang Fengwan looked up to see Jiang Yun standing before her.
She released the suitcase.
Jiang Yun lifted it and put it into the black business car’s trunk.
“Leaving already?” Jiang Yun asked.
“Yeah.” Wang Fengwan nodded.
“I’m going for breakfast, you coming?”
“Yeah.” Wang Fengwan nodded.
The two went to a breakfast shop.
“Boss, one bowl of mung bean soup, five fried dough rings!” Jiang Yun asked Wang Fengwan, “What do you want?”
“The same as you!”
“Boss, two bowls of mung bean soup, ten fried dough rings!”
“Okay!”
Fearing being recognized, they returned to the hotel.
In the hotel room, the two silently looked at each other.
In the end, nothing further happened. Jiang Yun and Wang Fengwan said their goodbyes.
Wang Fengwan returned to Jiangnan, and Jiang Yun boarded a plane to the capital.
Coincidentally, Wang Fengwan was also from Jiangnan.
P.S. Thanks to “Wandering Cat” for the one monthly vote!
