120 The Most Pathetic Fusion Monster in History—The Three-Second Knight!

The scene returned to the duel.

Once the XZ-Tank Cannon had vented all of its frustration, Kaiba reached out and retrieved a monster card he had discarded from his hand to the Graveyard to activate the Tank Cannon’s effect.

"During the End Phase of my turn, the effect of the Effect Monster 'The White Stone of Ancients' in my Graveyard activates! During the End Phase of the turn this card is sent to the Graveyard, I can Special Summon one 'Blue-Eyes' monster from my Deck."

"Come forth! My soul! Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"

"Roar!"

At the call of the White Stone of Ancients, Kaiba's soul—the Blue-Eyes White Dragon—spread its wings and descended directly from the Deck onto the battlefield.

"Turn end!"

"My turn, draw!"

Yugi glanced at the card he had drawn, but set it aside for now, focusing on completing his setup for the first turn.

"I summon 'King's Knight' in Attack Position!"

The husband of the Queen, a king with a golden beard clad in knightly armor, appeared beside his wife, sword and shield in hand.

"The effect of King's Knight! When 'Queen's Knight' is already on my field and King's Knight is successfully summoned, I can Special Summon a brand-new monster from my Deck!"

"Come forth! The last of the three musketeers—Jack's Knight!"

The third knight to guard the kingdom appeared: clad in blue and silver armor, with long golden hair, muscular physique, and a sharp, gleaming sword and shield.

"When the three Royal Knights—Jack's Knight, Queen's Knight, and King's Knight—are gathered on the field, the highest-ranking existence among the knights shall descend here!"

With those words, Yugi produced the Spell Card "Polymerization" he had retrieved from the Graveyard. The three knights leaped into the swirling vortex of fusion, combining their knightly powers into one.

"Fusion Summon—Arcana Knight Joker!"

A sturdy frame, the golden armor representing the King, the sword and shield of the Jack, and the purple-black hair of the Queen.

The title of Arcana, the ultimate fusion swordsman—Arcana Knight Joker!

With only one level and 200 ATK points less than the second of the Three Egyptian Gods—Obelisk the Tormentor—he was truly worthy of his title as the "Ultimate Arcana Fusion Swordsman"!

"Ha! I've been waiting for this moment!"

Seeing the heroic figure of the ultimate swordsman, Kaiba laughed. The moment he heard the names of Queen's Knight and King's Knight, and saw Yugi retrieve "Polymerization" from the Graveyard, he had grasped his opponent's intentions.

"At this moment, I activate the Trap Card 'Bottomless Trap Hole'!"

*Damn it!*

Seeing the card Kaiba had played, Yugi inwardly cursed. Arcana Knight Joker possessed a powerful counter-effect to negate the activation of Spells, Traps, and Effect Monsters that targeted him. However, Bottomless Trap Hole was a Trap Card that destroyed the summoned monster without targeting!

"When the opponent Special Summons a monster with 1500 or more ATK, destroy that monster and banish it! Fall into the trap!"

As he spoke, a massive pit suddenly opened beneath Arcana Knight Joker's feet. Before he could react, a green, one-eyed phantom emerged from the depths of the pit. It let out a chilling screech at the knight hovering above it, reaching out with both hands to drag him into another dimension.

"In this instant, I chain the Quick-Play Spell 'De-Fusion' to 'Bottomless Trap Hole'!"

Where there is fusion, there must be de-fusion! This was the card he had drawn during his normal draw this turn! It was meant both to counter his own fusion monster and to deal with Kaiba's Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon.

"With the chain resolving in reverse, Kaiba! Your 'Bottomless Trap Hole' will be negated for losing its target, but I will end up with three defensive monsters on my field!"

Arcana Knight Joker, having yet to showcase his power, was forced to de-fuse by his master’s spell card under the threat of the Bottomless Trap Hole, reverting into the three original Royal Knights.

"As expected of Yugi! Even when facing a devious trap card like 'Bottomless Trap Hole', he can calmly respond with 'De-Fusion'!"

Joey, who had been hyping Yugi up, shouted "Awesome" after witnessing the play.

"However, looking at the big picture, Yugi still came out behind," Yougi observed the duel rationally. Kaiba had used a single "Bottomless Trap Hole" to bait out Yugi's fusion monster "Arcana Knight Joker" and his "De-Fusion" card intended for the Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon—a very profitable trade for him!

Back to the field.

Looking at his remaining three cards, Yugi pondered for a moment before deciding on his next move.

"I set one card and end my turn."

"My turn, draw!"

Glancing at Yugi's back row, Kaiba hesitated for a moment. He chose not to activate the XZ-Tank Cannon's effect for a third time, fearing that Yugi's face-down card might be another unrestricted card that could be activated at any time.

"Spell Card 'Pot of Greed', draw two cards!"

Looking at the two monster cards he had drawn, Kaiba added one to his hand and placed the other in his Duel Disk's monster zone.

"I summon 'Strong Wind Dragon' in Attack Position!"

The blue-skinned, purple-winged dragon monster made its first appearance in the movie.

"Battle! Blue-Eyes White Dragon! XZ-Tank Cannon! And Strong Wind Dragon! Attack Yugi's three monsters!"

Each of the three monsters possessed more power than the defense of Yugi's Royal Knights. Therefore, facing the combined attack of the three, Yugi's knights were doomed to be wiped out!

"The moment Strong Wind Dragon destroys Jack's Knight in battle, its special effect activates! Tribute itself to Special Summon one Dragon-type monster other than itself from your hand or Graveyard. With this effect, I Special Summon the second 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' from my Graveyard!"

"Roar!"

Kaiba's "wife" returned, this being the second one to rise from the Graveyard.

"When did...? I see!"

Seeing the second Blue-Eyes appear, Yugi instinctively questioned how it had ended up in the Graveyard, but upon noticing the Tank Cannon sandwiched between the two white dragons, he understood immediately.

The two cards Kaiba had discarded to activate the Tank Cannon's effect twice were "The White Stone of Ancients" and the "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" he had acquired early on!

"Come! Deal a heavy blow to Yugi! Blue-Eyes White Dragon's Burst Stream of Destruction!!"

At this moment, Yugi's monster zone was empty! If this attack from his "Blue-Eyes" landed, Kaiba would be the first to draw blood in this duel! Furthermore, he would lead Yugi by 3000 Life Points!

"Don't be so hasty, Kaiba!"

Seeing the white energy gathering in the dragon's maw and the Tank Cannon preparing to clear his last monster, "Queen's Knight," Yugi suddenly reached out to interrupt the attack of both monsters.

"Before you can draw your first blood, I activate my face-down card!"

"Quick-Play Spell 'Magicalized Fusion'!"
