Chapter Ninety-Three: The Deeper the Love, the Sharper the Hate!

My Little Sister, Luo Tianyi Innocent Little Angel 2248 words 2026-03-04 20:30:06

Luo Chen shoved Li Hua aside with some disgust, opened his mouth, and was just about to say they should simply disband when he saw Li Hua crying his heart out. In the end, he could only change his words.

“After all, hardly anyone wants to be called a filthy demon, let alone call the master they like the Filthy Demon King.”

“No! Why don’t they get it? The deeper the love, the harsher the blackening!”

Li Hua looked anguished, as if in great distress. Could it be that those fans really could not see it?

This was love in its fullest, purest form!

Luo Chen twitched the corner of his mouth, forcing down the urge to hit someone. No wonder some fans still called him the Filthy Demon King even now. So it had all been the result of Li Hua’s nonstop promotion.

“The filthy-demon group is almost empty now. Great God, it’s all up to you!” Li Hua blinked his beady little eyes and looked at Luo Chen with boundless expectation. He had no other choice but to seek help.

“I really have no solution. Besides, the whole ‘the deeper the love, the harsher the blackening’ thing—hardly anyone would think that way, right?” Luo Chen said with a forced sigh and an air of melancholy, barely holding back his laughter. As a streamer, he certainly could not undermine his own fans’ beliefs.

Still, it looked like all his effort these past days had not been wasted after all.

Luo Chen remembered how, in the past, the comments over his videos had been packed with the words “Filthy Demon King.” Every time he saw them, he felt embarrassed. But now they were basically gone, replaced instead by “little angel.” After so many days of hard work, he had finally erased the consequences of that momentary loose tongue.

That had not been easy. He was not about to do something so self-destructive as to bring that title back again.

“No, no, no, there is still a way. I’ve established several filthy-demon groups. As long as you join, the popularity will shoot up immediately!” Li Hua had long since thought it through. So long as Luo Chen, this streamer, joined in, and he had those filthy fans help spread the word, wouldn’t the numbers soar? Then he, the leader of the filthy faction, would no longer be as miserable as he was now.

Last night Li Hua had also gone to that so-called personal website to take a look, and he had nearly exploded with anger. The clean faction already had several million registered users, while the filthy faction did not even have a tenth of that number. This was simply outrageous.

Had the world changed?

Hadn’t they agreed back then that everyone would be filthy together?

Though Li Hua looked down on those fans who had broken faith and defected to other factions, there was nothing he could do. He could only gaze pitifully at Luo Chen.

Unfortunately, this was nothing but a hopeless fantasy. How could Luo Chen, after finally clearing his own stain, possibly agree?

So, under Li Hua’s eager little eyes, Luo Chen could only shrug helplessly and say, “I can only remain neutral!”

The hope on Li Hua’s face immediately collapsed. He had been thinking of saying something to salvage the situation, but after thinking it over, he could only return to his seat with a bitter expression.

Li Hua also knew that, as a streamer, Luo Chen could not openly side with one faction. Otherwise, the fans would have opinions, not to mention that his own side was completely at a disadvantage.

The morning’s classes passed without anything else happening. It could only be said that Luo Chen’s presence at school really was too low. He barely had a few friends, and with so few people paying attention, the chance of being discovered naturally dropped as well.

For other streamers and content creators, whether in real life or online, the more attention they got the better. Luo Chen, however, had no such intention.

After more than half a day of classes, Luo Chen returned home as usual, only to find Yan He, who had come back early, already busy in the kitchen. On the way back, Luo Chen had been dragged around by Li Hua, answering all sorts of questions, and had wasted quite a bit of time.

“Luo Chen, you’re back...”

Seeing Luo Chen come in, Dai Xinhua, who was drawing in the living room, hurriedly hugged her drawing board to her chest with guilty nerves, as if she did not want him to see what she was drawing. Then, in some panic, she asked, “What’s wrong? You didn’t... make the character look awful again, did you?”

Looking at Dai Xinhua’s slightly unusual behavior, Luo Chen somehow thought of the time he had caught some girl drawing forbidden material. She had seemed to react the same way then, hadn’t she? But the thought flashed through his mind only briefly before he dismissed it.

Probably she had just accidentally feminized the character again and felt too embarrassed to show him.

“Th-that’s right...” Dai Xinhua let out a small sigh of relief and tightened her grip on the drawing board in her arms, following Luo Chen’s lead. So long as he had not found out, everything was fine. Otherwise it would have been disastrous.

Though Luo Chen could tell the girl’s expression was a little odd, he had no intention of pressing the matter further. After greeting her, he returned to his room.

The video he had promised his fans yesterday still had not been made. He could not afford to keep dragging this out.

He had not been idle during the noon break either; he had basically spent all of it gathering video footage. Fortunately, his gaming skill was fairly good now. If this had been the old him, one noon probably would not have been enough.

He planned to divide the entire game route into nine video installments. The footage recorded during last night’s livestream could be edited into four episodes, and the fifth episode would be released together with the footage he had recorded at noon. The remaining parts would then be released every few days, doing everything possible to keep the popularity alive.

Although turning a livestream into a video might seem a little improper, it was still better than leaving a series unfinished. Many viewers had entered the stream halfway through and were very interested in what had happened earlier. Even among fans who had watched the entire livestream, there were quite a few who wanted to revisit it. Many wonderful moments simply were not satisfying to watch only once.

Seeing that the time in the lower right corner of the screen was still fairly ample, Luo Chen opened the software and began producing the video.

Even though the footage had been recorded during a livestream, Luo Chen would not simply upload it directly. He would edit and refine it first.

The map in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate was very large, with plenty of traveling required. Those time-consuming parts could be sped up or skipped entirely, and some more trivial small events could be cut out as well. After trimming everything down, the gameplay would naturally become much more exciting and smooth.

After processing these five episodes, Luo Chen looked at the game footage, which was basically perfect, yet he still felt as though something was missing. After thinking for a while, he finally realized what it was.

What was missing was exactly the recap at the start and the ending at the end. Without those, could it still be called a movie?

That referred to the ending song, which often appears in Pure Black’s fast-paced video guides. Thanks to book friends Mist Lake’s Strongest, Shizhini, for the 1,000 Starting Point Coins.
