Chapter Fifty-Four: Are You My Fan as Well?

My Little Sister, Luo Tianyi Innocent Little Angel 2216 words 2026-03-04 20:28:24

After sensing the malice directed at him from those around, Luo Chen finally realized he had acted a little too recklessly. All the people here were his fans, after all. If his identity were ever exposed, who knew what strange rumors might arise once they recalled this scene.

Just as he was thinking this, Zhang Shuihan had already stepped in front of him. Strangely, the anger that had been on her face had vanished, replaced by a fleeting glint of mischief in her eyes.

What would happen if she revealed this young man’s identity right here?

Zhang Shuihan pictured Luo Chen, embarrassed and flustered, being hounded by a crowd of fans with endless questions. That would certainly be entertaining.

Looking at the beautiful girl standing before him, Luo Chen saw her lips part slightly and suddenly had a bad feeling.

“Welcome, Your Majesty, the King of Wickedness—”

Before Luo Chen could fully hear what she was about to say, he hastily stood up and reached out to stop Zhang Shuihan. Caught off guard by Luo Chen’s sudden reaction, she was pulled by him and, together, they toppled onto the sofa in front of them.

The brief silence was soon broken as fans crowded around, startling the two back to their senses. Luo Chen, noticing the strange expressions on the gathering fans, quickly helped Zhang Shuihan up, his arm around her as he did so. Seeing her flushed face so close to his, Luo Chen could only force a smile—this really wasn’t intentional.

“Ahem, this was just an accident, an accident,” Luo Chen said, turning to face the fans with a pained expression, waving his hands to show that it was nothing more than a mishap.

“Well, actually, I was careless too,” Zhang Shuihan quickly composed herself after the brief awkwardness. Shooting a glance at Dai Xinhua, who sat opposite Luo Chen, she glared at Luo Chen with a straight face and said, “After all, no one would do something like that deliberately in front of their girlfriend, right?”

Seeing both parties explain themselves, the fans could only disperse, though their faces were still dark. A few unwilling to let go exchanged glances with Dai Xinhua, whose beauty matched Zhang Shuihan’s, muttered “scumbag” under their breath, and returned to their seats.

Luo Chen wanted to explain, seeing he was misunderstood, but worried that doing so would only rile up the fans again.

Beside him, Dai Xinhua opened her mouth as if to speak, but for some reason, looking at Zhang Shuihan’s blushing face, she decided against it.

“So, our King of Wickedness brings his girlfriend today and has no intention of revealing his identity? Are you afraid your female fans might see you?” Zhang Shuihan hesitated for a moment before sitting down next to Luo Chen.

As for whether his girlfriend would get jealous, that was his problem. After all, she had just covered for him—she’d only feel satisfied if a breakup followed.

Lowering her voice so the fans wouldn’t overhear, Zhang Shuihan didn’t realize that this kind of whispering only broke even more hearts among the fans.

Honestly, which fan club was this, really? Luo Chen was too exhausted to complain.

“You misunderstand. Xinhua was just dragged along by me. Besides, I only picked a restaurant at random—I had no idea we’d end up here,” Luo Chen explained quietly, his head slightly lowered. He didn’t mind being misunderstood, but if Dai Xinhua thought he was a jerk and refused to help him anymore, that would be a real problem.

“Hmph, I knew it. There’s no way such a beautiful girl would fancy you, King of Wickedness.” Realizing her mistake, Zhang Shuihan gave Dai Xinhua an apologetic glance before turning to mock Luo Chen.

“What was that about King of Wickedness? Were you talking about Luo Chen?” Dai Xinhua recalled hearing the girl refer to Luo Chen as ‘Your Majesty, King of Wickedness’ earlier. Could Luo Chen really be the infamous King of Wickedness?

Her eyes sparkled with disbelief as she gazed across at Luo Chen, as if she’d just discovered that someone ordinary at her side was secretly a superstar, and she struggled to adjust.

No wonder Luo Chen had been so sure the owner here couldn’t have invited the King of Wickedness.

“What, Luo Chen never told you?” Zhang Shuihan was surprised. She hadn’t expected Luo Chen to have kept even those close to him in the dark. Most guys would try their hardest to show off in front of a girl, wouldn’t they?

“It’s nothing worth advertising, so I never brought it up,” Luo Chen replied. He certainly couldn’t admit he found the King of Wickedness title too embarrassing to mention.

After a little more light bickering, Zhang Shuihan got up to leave. She’d been asked to help fill out the crowd, but there were still many things she needed to take care of.

“Wait, Zhang Shuihan, could I have your autograph?” Luo Chen called out to her before she could go, handing over a pen and notebook he’d asked the waiter to prepare earlier.

“Luo Chen, you’re my fan too?” Zhang Shuihan glanced suspiciously at him, then at Dai Xinhua, who was averting her gaze shyly. Understanding dawned, and she nodded.

With a smile, she took the notebook, scribbled some blessings on a page, and, instead of handing it to Luo Chen, passed it straight to Dai Xinhua.

Dai Xinhua looked gratefully at Luo Chen before accepting the autograph. When she glanced at the message, a blush suffused her cheeks. She shot a reproachful look at the mischievous girl and hurriedly stuffed the signed paper into her bag.

Seeing Zhang Shuihan’s expression as she wrote, Luo Chen knew something was up. Unfortunately, she never gave him a chance to see it. He could only glare at her in mild exasperation—thank goodness they didn’t know each other well, or else he’d lose ten years of his life over this.

“Your Majesty, King of Wickedness, can’t you at least give me your contact information?” Zhang Shuihan suddenly grew indignant. Last time they’d met, he hadn’t even left her a phone number, which made it impossible to find him when she needed help to calm the crowd this time.

“My contact information?” Luo Chen realized that he’d never brought it up either time they’d met—an oversight on his part. While it was convenient to avoid trouble by being unreachable, it also meant he might miss important news.

He couldn’t let things go on like this.
