Chapter 108

Thinking this, Zhang Yi felt quite sorry for Huang Feifan, but unwilling to cause him any trouble, he chose to keep this secret hidden. He glanced over at Huang Feifan, who was lying on the bed lost in thought—perhaps thinking about his mother. Zhang Yi called out several times with no response.
Huang Feifan removed his male attire and returned to his female identity. Whether or not he wore clothes no longer mattered; Zhang Yi had already seen everything. Huang Feifan seemed to ignore Zhang Yi’s presence completely, as if he were air.
Zhang Yi covered his eyes. Seeing Huang Feifan’s figure, he nearly had a nosebleed. He knew Huang Feifan had a great figure before, but it was always concealed beneath clothing. Now, without clothes, that physique was truly stunning.
“Hey, hey, hey, what are you doing? I’m still here—why are you taking your clothes off?” Zhang Yi hurriedly stopped Huang Feifan’s current behavior, as he was about to lose control.
At that moment, Huang Feifan realized he had taken off all his clothes except for his underwear, revealing his figure entirely to Zhang Yi.
“Ah!” Huang Feifan didn’t really know why he had undressed; he had been lost in thought and forgotten Zhang Yi’s presence, which caused the awkward moment. With a quick movement, Huang Feifan wrapped himself tightly in the blanket on Zhang Yi’s bed.
“Are you trying to—” Huang Feifan didn’t want to continue and, to avoid embarrassment, deliberately caused trouble for Zhang Yi.
Zhang Yi was displeased when he heard this and snapped, “You took off your own clothes—what does that have to do with me, Zhang Yi? And you undressed first, didn’t you?” He quickly explained, though it wasn’t really his fault—the clothes were still on the floor, and Zhang Yi had kindly collected them.
“I’ll take these clothes to wash. Leave the laundry to me, except for your own clothes—you wash those yourself. I’ll handle the rest.” Zhang Yi picked up the clothes and left the room.
Reaching the laundry area, Zhang Yi didn’t want to use the washing machine because he thought the bacteria inside were too many. However, the next moment, Zhang Yi’s nose began to bleed slowly. He touched his nose, his hands stained with blood.
“No way! It’s just that I almost lost control looking at Huang Feifan’s body, but I’m a gentleman. Zhang Yi, don’t even think about taking advantage of him.” He went to the bathroom to wash his hands, worried the blood might stain Huang Feifan’s male clothing. He stuffed paper into his nostrils, stopping the nosebleed.
“Zhang Yi, don’t disappoint Huang Feifan’s mother’s expectations. Before she returns, I will make sure Huang Feifan spends every day happily.” With these thoughts, Zhang Yi’s life gained a new goal, though the specifics were still uncertain—a short-term aim for now.
Huang Feifan, having changed clothes, approached Zhang Yi from behind. It had only been about ten minutes of washing, but Zhang Yi was already sweating. There was no fan or air conditioning inside; using the washing machine would have been easier, but Zhang Yi refused, wanting Huang Feifan to have a healthy life, not one shadowed by illness.
“Zhang Yi.” Huang Feifan softly called him from behind, his voice gentle.
“What’s up? Are you hungry? Don’t worry, as soon as I finish washing your clothes, I’ll make you something.” Zhang Yi looked like a househusband, doting on Huang Feifan like a precious vase—a battle-hardened fighter who would shatter if hurt.
Suddenly feeling heat behind him, Zhang Yi turned to find Huang Feifan embracing him from behind. He felt the changes in Huang Feifan’s body and noticed his heartbeat racing. Zhang Yi didn’t understand why Huang Feifan was doing this.

However, Zhang Yi’s own heart was also racing. Was this what it felt like to be embraced by a girl? The sensation was truly calming. He immediately shook his head to clear his thoughts and asked Huang Feifan, “What’s wrong, Feifan? Why are you hugging me? Am I that comfortable?”
Suddenly, Zhang Yi felt his waist tightly squeezed. Huang Feifan blushed and said, “I was just thinking—if I hadn’t entered Tianyuan and met you another way, would things have been better?”
“What if I said no? Even if there were other ways for us to meet, it wouldn’t change anything. Fate’s arrangement decided our destiny. If we hadn’t met, I wouldn’t know you, and you wouldn’t know me.”
“Hmm, the life I’m living now is what I desire—free of worries and cares. If only my mother were still alive, life would be perfect.” Huang Feifan imagined the days with his mother, Fang Lixia, and Zhang Yi together—a life he longed for.
As long as Li Li didn’t come, everything else was good. But Zhang Yi hadn’t forgotten Li Li. They hadn’t seen her in a long time; perhaps she knew about Huang Feifan and stopped coming. This was also Zhang Yi’s regret.
Li Li was now homeless, wandering without a place to stay. Wherever she went, she considered the world her home. This was also a regret in Zhang Yi’s heart—they had not yet become true friends, though their relationship had improved considerably.
Zhang Yi said calmly, “Even this life will one day be broken. If one day we face an unavoidable crisis, what will you think then?” he asked Huang Feifan.
Huang Feifan replied, “If it were me, I would face it. Even if it’s your hypothetical, I would confront it. If the crisis demands one sacrifice, let it be me.”
“Why?”
Huang Feifan smiled, “You’re young and can’t die. If you died, how many people would be heartbroken? If you live, your family and friends won’t suffer so much.”
“So, you don’t value your own life? What do you consider your life to be?” Zhang Yi questioned sharply.
“Well…” Huang Feifan released Zhang Yi and sighed, “My mother is gone. I’m all alone in this world with no one to rely on. Who else understands me? Besides my mother, I have no other relatives.” Tears welled in Huang Feifan’s eyes.
“But you have me, and everyone else!” Zhang Yi patted his chest. “As long as you have hope for life, we’ll all be by your side. If any difficulties arise, we’ll face them together.”
“Thank you, Zhang Yi.” Huang Feifan threw himself into Zhang Yi’s arms again, overwhelmed with emotion. Zhang Yi stroked his hair, vowing never to let him suffer again.
After this simple conversation, their bond deepened further.

“Yu Ge, you haven’t eaten anything since you came back. Come out and eat something,” Yang Shuting called outside the door. Since returning, Yu Xingyue had kept himself locked in his room.
Sun Yao patted Yang Shuting’s shoulder. “Let him be for now. When he’s ready, he’ll come out. Don’t rush him.”
Inside the room, Yu Xingyue stared blankly at the ceiling. He had remained like this since returning. No matter who called, he didn’t respond. Yang Shuting thought it would be best if someone could get him moving again.
So she immediately thought of Lin Zimo. Yu Xingyue and Lin Zimo’s relationship was fairly good, though not romantic.
After sending Lin Zimo a message, he quickly arrived, about half an hour later.
If it was Lin Zimo, he might coax Yu Xingyue to open the door. After that, Lin Zimo would handle the rest. He could be the remedy Yu Xingyue needed.
Learning of Yu Xingyue’s condition, Lin Zimo said, “Don’t worry, as long as I’m here, Yu Xingyue will open the door. If he doesn’t, I’ll force it open.”
He tentatively knocked on the door. “Yu Xingyue, it’s Lin Zimo. I want you to open the door and tell me how you’re feeling. If something’s troubling you, just say it—I’ll help you.”
“You help me? Don’t joke.” Yu Xingyue laughed sadly. “That bastard is finally dead, and my mother and I can finally live well. But why am I still so sad? Why does it hurt so much?”
“What happened has happened. Don’t be too sad—it will pass.”
“Hmph, you sure know how to talk. Lin Zimo, if you keep this up, don’t blame me for getting physical.” Yu Xingyue threatened Lin Zimo to leave. Lin Zimo felt a surge of anger but held back.
“Calm down, calm down. I’m not good at comforting people, but when it comes to you, I’ll show up first thing,” Lin Zimo said.
