Chapter 70: An Opportunity to Approach the Core

August 13, Year 5645 of the Sky Vault calendar.
The development of Sky Vault Star has reached beyond its atmosphere, and attempts to establish scientific stations on the moon have begun.
Humanity has touched the moon. The people of Sky Vault Star have witnessed the surface of a celestial body other than their own for the first time.
Desolate and silent, with gravity lower than that of Sky Vault Star, the astronauts who first set foot on the moon felt an undeniable sense of novelty.
The first astronaut to step onto the lunar surface, Wang Lang, was deeply moved and uttered these words:
"This is a small step for me, but a giant leap for Sky Vault Star."
...
Watching the people of Sky Vault Star busily at work on the moon broadcasted on television, Natasha—once an Earthling, now renamed Nisha—sat quietly.
When she first sought a method to obtain identification on Sky Vault Star, she was delighted to discover that one could apply for citizenship through the internet. She tried to manipulate the system using computer technology far superior to that of Sky Vault Star.
Sure enough, she succeeded, and managed to register a false identity for herself.
For the sake of her fellow undercover agents, Nisha thoughtfully created fake identities for them as well, notifying them through special communication devices.
Nisha felt that the information security of Sky Vault Star was still lacking, at least compared to the level of civilization, which was far below that of Earth.
Meanwhile, Shen Xing was lost in thought as he reviewed the profiles of the Earth undercover agents.
For so many years, the open-door policy was nothing more than respecting the actions of Earth’s undercover agents from the vantage point of strength, while also yielding additional effects.
For instance, during their contact with the civilization of Sky Vault Star, many Earthlings inevitably developed new perspectives.
Many Earth undercover agents had become enamored with the carefree life on Sky Vault Star, especially the new generation born on spaceships after departing Earth.
They had never witnessed such a fascinating civilization.
From birth, these new generations knew only the deep starry sky and cold steel, with their only entertainment being old films and reading books of knowledge.
Of course, Nisha was unaware of these matters. At present, she held the position of professor at the Sky Vault Academy, teaching a course on the practical theory of science.

This was the name of the subject on Sky Vault Star, aimed at proposing, practicing, and applying scientific conjectures that still remained theoretical.
The subject was quite popular among applicants; moreover, it had greatly expanded the breadth of scientific theory among the people of Sky Vault Star. Many epoch-defining hypotheses were put forward and attempted in advance.
Yet to Nisha, these so-called epoch-defining technologies were simple theories. Even if successfully applied, they posed no threat to Earth’s main fleet.
As she watched the footage of Sky Vault Star’s people landing on the moon, she was suddenly interrupted by the voice of a young girl behind her.
"Professor Nisha, my brother will be home tonight. He said he’d like to treat you to dinner to thank you for teaching me these past weeks."
It was an ordinary remark, but Nisha instantly stiffened, feeling intensely nervous.
The girl’s name was Su Xiaoxin, younger sister of Su Xiaoyi, the Chief Executive of Sky Vault Star, currently pursuing an advanced degree.
With her knowledge of Earth’s civilization, Nisha was highly adept at teaching. Within only three years, she earned the title of Distinguished Teacher and received the Academy’s highest honors for several consecutive years.
Under such accolades, when Su Xiaoyi sought a mentor for his sister, Ye Lian, the principal of Sky Vault Academy, strongly recommended Nisha.
This was a tremendous opportunity for Earth civilization, so Nisha agreed without hesitation.
"To receive an invitation from the Chief Executive is a great honor!" Nisha flawlessly displayed the proper reaction of a citizen of Sky Vault Star; years of living there had made her nearly indistinguishable from a native.
Seated on the sofa, Su Xiaoxin swung her legs and said, "My brother has been so busy all these years, he rarely comes home. It’s really not easy for him to have a meal at home."
"After all, as Chief Executive, he has a lot of affairs to deal with. Especially since those aliens still want to invade Sky Vault Star," Nisha said, tidying the scattered lesson plans from her lectures and probing with her tone.
"What’s there to fear about aliens! The High Priest is the strongest; he’ll always protect Sky Vault Star!"
Su Xiaoxin jumped off the sofa, made a few playful punches, and gazed ahead with longing.
"I just wish the High Priest would accept more students. I want to be as strong as my brother and fight for Sky Vault Star."
Hearing this, Nisha’s heart jumped. She followed the conversation, steering it casually toward the subject of divine arts.
"Yes, why doesn’t the High Priest take on more students? That way, no matter what kind of aliens come, we’ll always be victorious!"

"No chance. My brother said the divine arts can’t be easily passed on."
Nisha wanted to probe further about the divine arts, but just then, a sound came from the doorway.
Su Xiaoxin called out to her brother, prompting Nisha to stand up at once, turning slowly in a state of extreme nervousness.
This was, after all, the Chief Executive of Sky Vault Star; she could not afford the slightest mistake, and at that moment, she was rehearsing every breath.
When the moment finally arrived, she realized she could not remain calm.
"You must be Xiaoxin’s home tutor. Hello."
A voice, slightly deep and resonant, sounded. Nisha turned, carefully observing the appearance of Sky Vault Star’s Chief Executive.
Su Xiaoyi wore tailored attire, his posture upright and composed.
Twenty years ago, Su Xiaoyi was a boy, but now he was a mature, steady man.
Facing Su Xiaoyi, Nisha could only bow slightly and say cautiously, "Greetings, Chief Executive."
"Thank you for teaching Xiaoxin all this time. I’ve just reserved a table at Starlight Restaurant; it’s about time. I’ll drive you both there," Su Xiaoyi nodded, checking his watch.
Nisha nodded, following Su Xiaoyi and Su Xiaoxin to a black sedan, and together they headed to Starlight Restaurant.
Starlight Restaurant, owned by the Starlight Group, was a premier establishment catering to high-end clientele.
Commercial development on Sky Vault Star was rapid, with many types of companies emerging—at the forefront was the Starlight Group.
There were, in fact, class distinctions on Sky Vault Star, though not as pronounced as the societies of Earth’s past.
Class differences were a part of social diversity, but on Sky Vault Star, they were not the source of inequality or injustice.
On Sky Vault Star, class was not a label, but a structural element defining one’s place in society.
