Author's Note on Official Launch

Strangeness on the Tip of the Tongue The Fool of Twilight 641 words 2026-03-24 18:13:12

The book will be officially released tomorrow at noon, so I’ve decided to post my thoughts a little early.

Because the follow-up readership has been so poor, my editor even asked me a few days ago if I wanted to continue writing it. To be honest, if it weren't for the fact that I had already stockpiled so many chapters and poured so much time and effort into this, I might have just cut it short.

They say that choices are more important than hard work. But I am a stubborn fool, and I just want to see this through to the bitter end. Perhaps once I’ve bloodied my head and felt the pain, I’ll finally know when to turn back. But for now, I’m just not ready to give up.

There is actually a lot more I’d like to say, but upon reflection, I’ve already spread enough negativity, and there is no need for more. Actions speak louder than words.

I will guarantee five chapters for the launch. Furthermore, as I promised a few days ago, if the ratio of followers to paid subscribers is within fifteen to one, I will provide 10,000 words daily. If it is within twenty to one, I will provide 6,000 words daily.

I currently have 4,300 followers. If the ratio reaches fifteen to one, that would be 286 subscribers. If the initial subscriptions exceed 286, I will add another five chapters.

One last thing: if the initial subscription ratio falls outside of twenty to one—meaning I don’t even hit 215 subscribers—then it shows that this book isn't just suffering from low visibility, but that even those who followed it aren't interested in reading it. In that case, no matter how unwilling I am to accept it, I will have no choice but to settle for the minimum 4,000 words a day to qualify for the attendance bonus. If it truly comes to that, there is no need for anyone to tip or vote; it would be meaningless.

Finally, to all the readers who are still supporting me, thank you. Thank you so much.

One last promise: even if this book fails to meet my expectations and falls outside that twenty-to-one ratio, leaving me with nothing but the attendance bonus, I will still do my best to write a complete and satisfying story, though the pacing might have to accelerate a bit.
