Chapter 121: Sending You to Feed the Pigs
Ado watched with growing anxiety. The opposition was numerous, and their leader appeared formidable; Lu Ming was clearly at a disadvantage.
She leaned in and whispered, "Brother, why don't you just apologize? They are truly not people to be trifled with." In her view, the terms were not unreasonable—just an apology to settle the matter. It would be so simple.
Lu Ming, however, smiled. "It's fine, don't worry. I'm quite capable."
Seeing his stubbornness, Ado stamped her feet in frustration.
Lu Ming chuckled and turned to Chishui. "What is your name?"
"I am Chishui," he replied slowly. "May I ask yours?"
"My surname is Lu. You may call me Lu Ming," Lu Ming said calmly.
Chishui was puzzled; he had never heard of such a figure in the martial world. Once a practitioner reached the innate realm, they were considered rare masters, and their names were generally well-known among peers. To find such a name completely unfamiliar was surprising. He recalled a young grandmaster named Lu who had emerged in the Northwest recently, but he could not reconcile that formidable image with the man before him. Lu Ming lacked the aura of a martial artist; he seemed no different from an ordinary person.
"I don't think we need to go outside," Lu Ming said. "Just stand right there and take a punch from me."
"What?" Chishui was stunned.
Lu Ming struck out with a slow, casual punch. Suddenly, a surge of energy tore through the air, heading straight for Chishui.
"Projected internal energy?" Chishui was shocked. This was the hallmark of an innate master. He dared not hesitate, raising his arms to his chest and shouting. A protective aura flared around him, forming a shield over his forearms.
When Lu Ming’s energy-formed punch connected with the shield, Chishui felt an irresistible force and was filled with terror. Despite being in the same realm, the power contained in this strike was vastly superior to his own. Before he could process it, the punch shattered his shield and slammed into him. Chishui spat out blood and fell backward.
While Wang Zeyan and his companions expected this, Ado, Chim, and the rest of the henchmen were left dumbstruck. Lu Ming merely yawned, as if overcome by sleepiness.
After a long silence, Chim finally regained his composure, pointing a trembling finger at Lu Ming. "This... this is impossible." Lu Ming ignored him with a cold smirk.
On the ground, Chishui coughed up another mouthful of blood and slowly sat up. Moments later, under the stunned gazes of the crowd, he stood and bowed to Lu Ming. "I have lost. I will no longer participate in this matter. Mr. Lu, feel free to deal with them as you please."
Chishui realized from that single blow that he was nowhere near Lu Ming’s level; they were in different worlds. He accepted his defeat gracefully and turned to leave. He had done his duty for his family.
"You can't leave, cousin! You have your troops, you have guns—use them! Call your unit here!" Chim panicked. If Chishui left, he would be at the mercy of this terrifying man.
Chishui glared at his cousin. "I stepped in as a cousin and a family member, not in my professional capacity. I have done all I could. You are on your own." He turned his back on his stunned cousin and walked away.
"Stop," Lu Ming called out.
Chishui froze and turned slowly. "Is there something else, sir?" He was uneasy, fearing Lu Ming might intend to finish him off. As a captain of the capital’s special forces and a candidate for the Flame Dragon unit, he knew the military would not take lightly to his death. Could one man really be stronger than the entire Chinese military?
As he pondered this, Lu Ming made a phone call.
At the training base, Yang Jun and his team were deep in rigorous drills. Since learning the Divine Official fighting style from Lu Ming, their skills had improved exponentially. Yang Jun himself had made a breakthrough in his body-refining techniques. They revered Lu Ming; every lesson revealed endless, fascinating mysteries within the combat style.
A soldier ran out of the barracks, phone in hand. "Captain Yang! A call for you—it’s Instructor Lu!"
The training ceased instantly. Yang Jun kicked aside his sparring partner and sprinted over, his face lighting up as he saw "Instructor Lu" on the screen. He stood at attention and saluted. "Good day, Instructor Lu!"
The team crowded around to listen. Yang Jun shot them a look and switched the phone to speaker.
"Yes, it’s me. How is the training?" Lu Ming’s lazy voice drifted through.
"Everyone is very enthusiastic, sir. We’ve been studying the techniques you taught us," Yang Jun replied.
"Good. There is a man named Chishui who claims to be one of your reserve members. Do you know him?"
Yang Jun paused. "Yes, Instructor. I have the files on every member of Flame Dragon, including reserves." He asked cautiously, "Did he offend you, sir?"
"We just had a scuffle," Lu Ming said flatly.
"What?" Yang Jun exploded. "Where are you? I’m taking a helicopter over right now to teach that brat a lesson!" The surrounding men were gnashing their teeth, eager to deal with someone so arrogant as to challenge their instructor.
"No need. I’ve already handled him. I’m calling to have you give him a warning. A soldier must act like a soldier."
Lu Ming held the phone out to Chishui. "Take the call."
Chishui took it, trembling when he saw the name "Yang Jun" on the screen. Yang Jun was the grandson of the Military God, the captain of Flame Dragon, and his own idol.
Before he could speak, Yang Jun’s furious voice erupted from the phone. "Chishui, you bastard! Do you have a death wish? How dare you provoke Instructor Lu!"
*Instructor Lu?* Chishui felt a cold chill. Was Lu Ming an instructor for Flame Dragon?
"Captain Yang," Chishui stammered, "is the Instructor Lu you’re referring to named Lu Ming?"
"Damn you, is his name even for you to speak so casually? Listen to me, you son of a bitch: whatever you did, beg Instructor Lu for forgiveness immediately! Otherwise, forget about joining Flame Dragon—I’ll send you to feed the pigs!"
Chishui’s face went pale. He had never imagined that Lu Ming was an instructor for Flame Dragon—the most elite, top-secret unit in the Chinese military, answering directly to the Ministry of Defense.
