Upon hearing Ying Yuwei’s words, the crowd erupted into scoffs.

“I knew that little girl couldn’t possibly have any real skill. What resentment are you talking about? Ha!”

“Feng Shui isn’t about throwing around empty boasts. But Ying, it’s good you realized your mistake in time. It’s better to admit and correct your errors. You’ve still got a lot to learn.” Chairman Chen let out a sigh of relief, trying to comfort Ying Yuwei.

Ying Yuwei raised her index finger, waving it side to side.

“I think you all misunderstood. What I meant isn’t resentment—it's corpse energy.”

After observing the tomb’s surroundings, Ying Yuwei realized it didn’t meet the conditions for accumulating resentment energy. In an instant, she recalled the corpse moth inside Li Cheng’s body.

The expressions of those present immediately turned grave, their voices filled with astonishment.

“Corpse energy? How is that possible?”

Corpse energy refers to the substance produced by the decomposition of the vital energy within a body immediately after death. However, it usually only exists on a body that has just died and dissipates quickly.

The man who had just played the video sneered.

“Corpse energy? Mr. Li’s father has been dead for who knows how long. Are you suggesting he came back to life and then died again?”

Ying Yuwei gave him a thumbs-up, her tone appreciative.

“Exactly. That’s precisely what I mean—resurrection.”

Everyone present, including Liu Chang, found this explanation utterly ridiculous. Liu Chang scratched his head and approached Ying Yuwei.

“Master, isn’t this going too far?”

Ying Yuwei rolled her eyes and said irritably.

“You all only know that fresh corpses emit corpse energy. What about corpses that have undergone mutation?”

Then she turned to the other members of the Feng Shui Association.

“Aren’t you all skeptical about the presence of another person inside? Why not go in and see for yourselves?”

The crowd exchanged uneasy glances. At that moment, Li Cheng stammered as he stepped forward.

“Master Ying… do we really have to go down? My father’s tomb is well sealed. So many people going down there would be very inauspicious.”

The older generation tended to be more superstitious about Feng Shui, especially in Hong Kong, which explained why Li Cheng had been relocating his father’s grave. Now, with so many people wanting to enter his ancestral tomb, his expression was tinged with reluctance.

Ying Yuwei crossed her arms, pondering.

“All right, then no need to go down. In a couple of days, if your father personally comes to find you, it’s the same thing.”

“Where is he? Someone! Quickly! Open the tomb!”

Li Cheng’s voice sharpened with urgency. He hurriedly waved to call over the bodyguards nearby. Within less than a minute, the ancestral tomb was unearthed.

The tomb was constructed as an underground chamber with a hidden door buried beneath the earth. Following Li Cheng’s instructions, the bodyguards pried open the door with shovels.

Inside, the tomb chamber spanned roughly thirty square meters with a ceiling height of about three meters. The interior was spacious and empty, save for a vermilion coffin placed in the center—nothing else was in sight.

Light streamed in through the opened door, illuminating the coffin’s location. Dust floated in the air. One bodyguard pulled out a lighter and flicked it on; the flame danced inside the chamber.

“There’s oxygen. We can go down.”

Someone carried a ladder and a floodlight over. Ying Yuwei intended to be the first to descend but was abruptly grabbed by the arm by An Yu, who pulled her back.

“I’ll go first. You follow right behind me.”

Ying Yuwei raised her eyebrows in slight confusion but saw An Yu already climbing down the ladder. She had no choice but to follow.

Li Cheng, seeing Ying Yuwei begin her descent, hurriedly trailed after her.

“Master Ying, hey! Wait for me!”

The Feng Shui masters who had been standing further back pressed forward, craning their necks to peer into the tomb.

“Hey, why are you two going down first?”

“Chairman, we should go down too. Who knows if they’re trying to stir up trouble or fake some supernatural phenomena inside!”

And so, Ying Yuwei and An Yu went down first, followed by a group of venerable Feng Shui masters—about a dozen of them, including Chairman Chen and Liu Chang. They carefully guarded their backs and leaned on their canes, descending into the tomb with the bodyguards’ support.

Chairman Chen even twisted his waist in the process.

As soon as Ying Yuwei stepped down and took a couple of steps forward, she heard a chorus of groans behind her. Turning back, she saw the elderly group one by one clutching their backs, with Chairman Chen dropping his cane and wincing repeatedly.

Ying Yuwei’s expression was a mixture of amusement and exasperation. Looking at these elders whose combined age neared six hundred, she silently calculated the odds of them escaping if the occupants inside had already mutated into zombies. Judging by the current scene, the chances were practically zero.

“You all should go back up. If the corpses down there have turned into zombies, I’m afraid you won’t be able to get out.”

Ying Yuwei offered the elder group a warning out of kindness, but it was met with merciless ridicule.

“Zombies? You must have watched too many Lam Ching-ying films.”

“Corpse mutation might be possible, but turning into zombies is complete nonsense!”

“Besides, didn’t you say Mr. Li’s father’s grave was occupied by another body? Where is it?”

The tomb chamber was spacious and bare, with nothing but the vermilion coffin set in the center. Li Cheng’s brows furrowed as he looked towards Ying Yuwei in confusion.

After a brief burst of low laughter from the elders, the tapping of canes on the floor silenced the crowd. Chairman Chen, leaning on his cane, took slow, deliberate steps toward Ying Yuwei, his tone tinged with regret.

“Seems you haven’t inherited your master’s true skills.”

Ying Yuwei did not respond to the elders’ mockery. She approached the coffin and began to feel along its surface. Her fingers traced some faintly raised patterns. She then took out a bottle of water from her bag and sprinkled some onto it.

Li Cheng, having just finished kowtowing, looked up to see Ying Yuwei pouring water on his father’s coffin. Though he was at her mercy now, a surge of anger inevitably rose within him.

“What are you doing?”
