Chapter 6: Take Me Along to Show Off and Soar
At this moment, Yuan Qian’er was struggling wildly inside the oversized robe—Mo Yiran’s cloak was far too large, enveloping her from head to toe. “Hey, Your Highness, let me go! Although I know I’m beautiful, graceful, and charming, the law is the same for everyone, and it’s wrong for you to forcibly take a commoner woman. Let me go quickly; it’s sweltering, and I’m suffocating in here. Don’t worry, I won’t hold it against you.”
Mo Yiran was exasperated. He had seen slanders before but never one as outrageous as this. If his master hadn’t repeatedly instructed him to bring her up the mountain, would he have to bear such accusations?
Perhaps fearing that Yuan Qian’er might suffocate, Mo Yiran stopped somewhere. Freed from the stifling darkness, Yuan Qian’er took a deep breath. “Wow, you finally see reason. It seems the child is teachable. I, as your mentor, am greatly comforted!”
“You’re overthinking. It’s because you’re too heavy; I couldn’t fly anymore, so I had to stop and rest. We’ll continue soon,” Mo Yiran said, unwilling to admit he stopped out of concern for her.
“Continue? Continue where? And what did you say just now? Fat? I have the perfect figure, and you say I’m fat? Wait, you said you fly? Don’t keep me cooped up—take me flying once, please!” Yuan Qian’er suddenly ignored her previous questions, her eyes sparkling with admiration as she looked at Mo Yiran, even batting her eyelashes to coax him.
“Uh... okay,” Mo Yiran couldn’t resist her charm. He hadn’t expected this woman’s coquettishness to be so disarming. Since he had to bring her along anyway, he might as well indulge her.
“Ha ha ha, amazing! I never thought that after transmigrating, I’d get to experience a human airplane. Lucky me! Thank you, my male idol,” Yuan Qian’er joyfully thanked Mo Yiran. Growing up watching martial arts films, she had always admired those who could perform lightness skills and had dreamed of flying someday. She never imagined the opportunity would come so soon.
Sunlight bathed the two of them, painting a warm and harmonious scene. After a short rest, they prepared to set off again. Unlike before, this time Yuan Qian’er’s head was free, allowing her to livestream the entire flight. Nervous yet excited, she watched herself slowly float upward. Upon reaching a certain height, they soared forward. The vast and magnificent landscape stretched out beneath them—no one could resist the allure of nature, and she was no exception.
Mo Yiran observed her curious little face, glancing left and right, showing no trace of panic or fear of falling. Watching her contented smile with eyes half-closed in enjoyment, he felt that no beauty in the world could surpass her smile.
Thinking this, he tightened the arm wrapped around her. Could this be the stirrings of love?
As evening approached, a gentle breeze blew, and the sun dipped toward the horizon. Finally, the two arrived at the foot of Misty Mountain.
After landing on both feet, Yuan Qian’er still felt unsatisfied. She looked at Mo Yiran with a puzzled expression. “Why did you bring me here? I haven’t had enough flying yet!”
“This is our destination. I never intended to bring you here just to fly around. Hurry up; the master is waiting,” Mo Yiran said, stepping ahead onto Misty Mountain.
“Hey, wait for me! You haven’t told me why you brought me here yet. What if you sell me out after I follow you?” Yuan Qian’er said aloud but still followed him.
“You’d better stick close, or if you get lost, I won’t come looking for you. This place is shrouded in mist; as a newcomer, you won’t be able to find your way out,” he said, slowing his pace to wait for her.
