Chapter 6: The First Attempt at Domination
“You seem to be badly injured.” Mo Xuanyu tilted his head slightly, his gaze appraising the young man before him.
“Are you here to take me away?” 117 lowered his head with guilt in his eyes. “I’m sorry—I failed to complete the mission you gave me.”
117 had long prepared himself to die.
Mo Xuanyu shook his head, then extended his index finger to gently touch his forehead. “It doesn’t matter anymore. We have a new mission ahead, so I need your help.”
As soon as the words left his mouth, 117 felt as if a clear spring flowed into his body, permeating every vein and meridian, purging the tainted blood within.
Even his once wilted and withered spirit and mind became vibrant and energized.
“I understand.”
He would carry out every order from his master without question.
117 quietly closed his eyes, knowing this was the extraordinary power of his teacher—just as before, when he was pulled from a mass grave and gently healed.
Mo Xuanyu heard him and was pleased to have such a loyal ally with unwavering devotion.
Unfortunately, the Sacred Geometry’s global support card he received was only one, and it would automatically be destroyed when this world ended.
As for 117’s past experiences, they were not fabricated but rather a storyline inserted by Sacred Geometry to fit his character within this world.
To 117, it was real.
Notably, during the healing process, Mo Xuanyu unexpectedly discovered a change in his own spiritual power.
Among the pale blue spiritual energy, specks of deep black particles appeared.
So far, these black particles seemed harmless; in fact, they enhanced Mo Xuanyu’s healing ability.
Previously, his pale blue spiritual energy only had a “purifying” effect, which could suppress ailments like lingering bone rot but could not cure them fundamentally.
Now, empowered by the black particles, his ability gained a “devouring” effect, able to eradicate the root causes of illness entirely.
Moreover, Mo Xuanyu’s intelligence attribute, now reaching 14 points, significantly increased both the quantity and quality of his spiritual power.
In the past, to completely heal serious wounds like 117’s, Mo Xuanyu would have to be mentally exhausted and sleep for a day or two.
But now, using only about one-third of his spiritual power, he fully healed 117, even curing some hidden injuries.
“How do you feel?” Mo Xuanyu withdrew his finger, lifting an oil lamp to illuminate 117’s face.
The young man opened his eyes, his dark gaze docile. “I feel excellent. Thank you, Master.”
“Then get yourself out of here. It’s too dark.”
Mo Xuanyu turned to leave without unshackling the chains, testing 117’s strength.
“Understood,” 117 replied.
After Mo Xuanyu exited the cell, a series of loud clanks echoed behind him.
117 had shattered the chains on his hands and easily snapped the iron shackles on his wrists, casually tossing them aside.
The prison warden twitched nervously, fearing the man might suddenly attack him, especially since he had been harsh during interrogation.
The corridor’s lighting was much better. 117 seemed somewhat shy in front of Mo Xuanyu, as he was shirtless.
He stood about 185 centimeters tall, with sharply defined features and a lithe, muscular build like a cheetah.
The scars on his body resembled medals—born for slaughter.
The fierce aura surrounding him was unmistakable, not something an ordinary person could imitate; he looked formidable.
Mo Xuanyu casually took off his coat and draped it over him. “There’s something you need to know first.”
The scent on the coat made 117 a little uneasy, but his professionalism remained intact. “Please, go ahead.”
“I’m no longer a member of the Free Commune. Now, I serve the Sun King,” Mo Xuanyu said, one hand resting behind his back.
“So I need to know your stance.”
117 was initially startled, then knelt on one knee and swore to Mo Xuanyu, “I will continue to follow your footsteps. I will never betray you.”
---
117 had never truly belonged to the Free Commune; he joined the Twilight Assassins simply because Mo Xuanyu was there.
Wherever Mo Xuanyu went, he followed.
117 had no name, only a code. He willingly became a sharp blade in his master’s hand.
Mo Xuanyu smiled slightly upon hearing this.
117 looked away, feeling somewhat flattered.
The master rarely smiled; their relationship was always cold and distant, with only a faint smile given upon successful mission completion.
The three left the underground prison and returned to the sunlight.
“Thank you for your cooperation,” Mo Xuanyu said to the warden before escorting 117 to the waiting carriage.
As the carriage rolled down the street, they sat opposite each other.
“Since you’ve joined the official ranks, you should have a name.”
“Do you have a name you like?”
“No,” 117 shook his head. He was not skilled in such things and had never been educated. Killing was the only thing he knew.
Mo Xuanyu rested his chin on his hand, gazing thoughtfully out the window.
117 found himself captivated by that handsome profile.
“For the outside world, you’ll be called Mo Xiao.”
“For private matters, I’ll call you Wolf.”
“Do you understand?”
Mo Xiao snapped back to attention and nodded solemnly, understanding the meaning behind the dual names.
Mo Xiao was their disguise for normal social occasions—they were no longer wanted criminals.
When Mo Xuanyu called him Wolf, it meant he was to carry out orders.
Back home, Mo Xuanyu pointed toward the bathroom. “Take a bath and wash the blood off. I’ll get you some clothes.”
Mo Xiao silently obeyed. Halfway through, Mo Xuanyu delivered the clothes, neatly folded by the door, perfectly sized.
Taking advantage of the quiet moment, Mo Xuanyu began to examine Wolf’s attribute panel.
Name: Mo Xiao (Wolf)
Level: Mid-tier for this world
Strength: 15 points
Agility: 15 points
Constitution: 14 points
Intelligence: 13 points
Charisma: 9 points
Luck: 1 point
“Such high attributes,” Mo Xuanyu murmured, surprised.
Fifteen points in both strength and agility far exceeded the previous Frank.
Unlike Mo Xuanyu’s balanced stats, Wolf’s panel clearly favored one or two main combat attributes, with the rest as support.
This approach allows the user to maximize their combat style and avoid mediocrity.
Beneath the attribute panel lay the skill panel.
Skill 1:
Martial Arts Mastery: Lv. 20 (passive skill).
“Same level as me,” Mo Xuanyu whispered.
Skill 2:
Swordsmanship Specialization: Lv. 1 (passive skill).
Only those with exceptional talent focused solely on swordsmanship can reach this level.
Special effect: Instantaneous burst power +50%, neural reflex speed +50%.
Seeing Wolf’s swordsmanship specialization surprised Mo Xuanyu, prompting him to inquire with Sacred Geometry about specialization skills.
Sacred Geometry replied promptly.
Skills like martial arts, swordsmanship, blade techniques, and firearm skills have strict level standards within Sacred Geometry.
They progress from Novice to Master to Specialist.
Each stage has 50 levels; after reaching 50, one must purchase the corresponding skill scroll to advance or be self-enlightened if talented.
Mo Xuanyu had “Cold Weapon Mastery” because he studied various disciplines and was proficient in all, so Sacred Geometry grouped them together.
Specialization, however, is unique. As the name implies, it requires the user to unleash a weapon’s power to its fullest to deserve the title.
For example: Swordsmanship Specialization, Blade Specialization, Gun Specialization, Scythe Specialization, Axe Specialization, and so forth.
Master-level skills easily overpower novice-level skills, while specialist-level skills are a whole different dimension of dominance.
Even though Wolf’s swordsmanship specialization is only level 1, it can easily suppress a level 50 cold weapon mastery because their essence differs.
Mo Xuanyu never expected Wolf’s skill panel to be so impressive.
This boy was clearly a swordsmanship prodigy; combined with his 15 points in strength and agility, his combat power must be terrifying.
Unfortunately, he was merely a character generated by Sacred Geometry’s card and would be automatically destroyed when this world’s mission ended.
This thought sparked an idea in Mo Xuanyu’s mind.
He decided to use his innate talent “Domination” on Wolf.
Domination (S):
Those who wholeheartedly submit to you or have signed a contract with you will be under your control.
You have the right to issue any command and can modify their memories and cognition within a certain range without detection.
Current number of possible dominations: 1.
Special effect: Upon domination, you can replicate one of the target’s special talents or skills. This ability ceases if the target dies.
Mo Xuanyu’s gaze lingered on the special effect.
His own cold weapon mastery was only level 10, and martial arts mastery was level 20.
Before entering Sacred Geometry, he had not deeply studied these areas.
After all, he came from a modern, technology-focused society where cold weapons had long fallen out of favor, so he only learned some modern combat techniques.
Both skill levels were achieved through years of effort, making him a talented individual among his peers.
Now, to level up quickly, he would have to spend money on skill points after officially entering Sacred Geometry.
The replication effect of the Domination talent made Wolf an excellent test subject.
Since Wolf was programmed to be 100% loyal to Mo Xuanyu, fulfilling the wholehearted submission condition, there was no need to waste time coaxing him into a contract.
Just then, Wolf finished bathing and changed clothes, emerging.
Mo Xuanyu gestured to the chair in front of him. “Sit down and eat something.”
He had bought some food from a bakery downstairs.
Mo Xiao nodded and sat somewhat awkwardly before devouring the food.
In prison, to prevent escape, they only gave him a bowl of water and black bread daily; it was impossible to claim he wasn’t hungry.
