“Marshal! The Marshal is here, the Marshal has come to see us!”

With that shout, the tent instantly erupted in excitement. All the wounded, whether sitting or lying down, struggled to turn their heads toward Zhao Zun. Their faces were marked by resilience and exhaustion, yet their eyes seemed to flicker with a glimmer of hope.

This showed just how much weight Marshal Zhao carried in their hearts.

After a moment, Zhao Zun waved his hand to restore silence and raised his voice.

“Brave warriors, you are the backbone of our Great Jing Dynasty. Though gravely wounded, you still hold your ground—such loyalty and courage are witnessed by heaven and earth!”

Zhao Zun’s voice was deep and powerful, penetrating every corner of the camp. He had Han Lei pushed along as he walked past each injured soldier, his gaze filled with concern and admiration.

“I know your resolve, so I have brought a skilled healer.” With that, Zhao Zun pulled Han Lei to his side, ensuring all the wounded could see her. “Miss Han may be a woman, but her medical skills are exceptional. She will do everything in her power to heal you. Once your wounds have healed, you will don your armor again and we shall drink together to celebrate our victory!”

His words were like a strong tonic, rekindling the light in the wounded soldiers’ eyes as they eagerly turned to Han Lei.

It was then that they realized this oddly dressed yet fair and beautiful woman before them was the doctor Marshal Zhao had specially brought for them.

Everyone respectfully greeted Han Lei. “Greetings, Miss Han!”

They all knew that no women were allowed in the military camp. Unless she possessed extraordinary skill, their revered Marshal would never bring a woman here.

“Hello, everyone! My name is Han Lei. Please trust me—I will do my utmost to heal you!” Han Lei’s sweet and clear voice echoed through the tent, concise yet confident.

When she finished speaking, Zhao Zun addressed the wounded. “Everyone, lie down and rest for now. Miss Han will come to treat each of you one by one.”

The injured returned to their places.

Hearing that the Marshal had arrived at the wounded camp, Ma Cheng followed and came over. Just then, Zhao Zun instructed him to arrange personnel to assist Han Lei.

Suddenly remembering something, Han Lei asked, “Prince, is the city far from here?”

“Not really. It’s about seventy or eighty miles away.”

“In that case, please send someone to the city to buy wine— as much as possible, and as quickly as possible.”

“Understood.”

“Prince, I have to go to the ambulance to get my tools and start working. I can’t attend to you now; have General Ma push you back, please.”

Without waiting for Zhao Zun’s reaction, Han Lei strode away, murmuring under her breath, “I hope I can save more lives…”

She ran swiftly, and from a distance, Han Lei saw a crowd thronging around the ambulance, packed in thick layers.

---

“Look, this seems to be made of refined iron.” Someone lightly tapped the vehicle’s body with a finger.

“Huh? Its eyes are closed—is it sleeping?” Someone carefully examined the headlights.

“There’s light in its eyes. Last night, I saw the bright light shining from its eyes myself!”

“Yeah, I saw it too last night.”

“The porridge we had today was made from the food it provided.”

“Right! This big machine’s belly must be full. Yesterday Miss Han carried out a lot of grain from it—it was all fine grain!”

“Let me see.”

“Let me see too.”

The ambulance remained motionless as the soldiers gathered, chattering excitedly and jostling to touch and inspect it firsthand.

With the fighting paused and supplies temporarily secured, the soldiers had even eaten porridge and cakes made from fine grain that morning. Their spirits revived, they came out to marvel at this strange new arrival in the camp.

After all, they were people from an ancient era, so it was natural they had never seen such marvels of modern technology. Han Lei wished they could admire it longer, but thousands of wounded awaited urgent aid, and she dared not delay.

She pulled out a remote control and pressed a button aimed at the ambulance.

A sharp “chirp” sounded.

The gathered soldiers jumped in fright, instinctively putting up their defenses and staring wide-eyed at the ambulance.

“Please make way, please make way.”

Han Lei called out as she briskly approached. Some soldiers who had helped carry grain the previous night recognized her.

“It’s Miss Han! Everyone, please clear the way, clear the way!”

Han Lei vaguely recalled one of them and asked, “I remember you helped carry grain last night. What’s your name?”

“Reporting to Miss Han, my name is Li Erniu.”

Li Erniu smiled with simple honesty. He was very pleased that the Marshal’s companion remembered him.

“Li Erniu, can you get the others to help me carry some things?” Han Lei glanced at the observing soldiers and asked straightforwardly.

Zhao Zun’s assigned men had not yet arrived, so these onlookers could serve as porters for now.

“No problem! Miss Han, what do you need to move?” Li Erniu readily agreed.

---

“Wait here a moment.” Han Lei thought for a bit, opened the rear door, jumped inside the ambulance, and closed the door behind her.

The ambulance contained only a limited supply of emergency items.

Fortunately, she had the system!

Opening the system panel, Han Lei first checked her silver. She had spent quite a lot on grain last night. Most of the wounds were caused by blades and swords, so the most needed supplies were alcohol and surgical tools for disinfection and suturing. There were too many wounded for everyone to receive intravenous antibiotics; only the severely injured would get those.

So, Han Lei used the remaining money to purchase large quantities of alcohol, scalpels, sutures, cotton, gauze, and a wide range of antibiotics and antiviral drugs, along with infusion equipment.

Now, apart from a mining map, she was penniless again.

Luckily, she had asked Zhao Zun to send someone to buy wine, so they could learn distillation methods and produce their own alcohol.

Medical technology in this era was primitive. Once infection set in, death was almost certain. Alcohol consumption was high, so she couldn’t always buy it from the system. Teaching them how to distill and then spreading that knowledge was essential.

With alcohol available, the mortality rate among wounded soldiers could be drastically reduced.

Han Lei opened the door. Outside, the soldiers were still commenting on the ambulance.

“Li Erniu, come here!” Han Lei pushed the supplies to the door. “These are life-saving medicines. Please ask your brothers to help me move them to the wounded camp—quickly!”

The soldiers standing outside were stunned, looking at the variously sized packages.

Medicines? They had never seen such strange things before.

Before Li Erniu could answer, Han Lei looked up and saw they were all frozen like terracotta warriors.

“What are you standing there for? Hurry up and help! The wounded are still waiting for these medicines to save their lives!”

Han Lei’s tone was somewhat displeased, but she said no more; this was not the time for explanations.

“Oh, right!” Li Erniu snapped out of it and quickly called the nearby soldiers. “Everyone, stop standing around and help Miss Han carry these medicines to the wounded camp. Be careful, don’t damage anything—the wounded brothers are counting on these to save their lives.”

Only then did everyone spring into action, handling the packages gently and cautiously, knowing these were vital supplies.

By the time Han Lei arrived at the wounded camp with the medicines, Zhao Zun was still there. A ten-man squad he had dispatched had just arrived.
